Malai is not leather. It is something new. It starts as something discarded and becomes something lasting. Born from waste coconut water collected from processing units in Southern India, it contains no plastic, no synthetic coatings, no toxic chemicals. Biodegradable, compostable, and created entirely from what would otherwise be thrown away.

It arrives with a naturally matte finish and a slightly raw, textured surface that is quietly beautiful. A little stiff at first, like something still finding its shape. But it softens with use, loosening into itself, becoming more flexible and more familiar the more you carry it.
