It gives our community a consistent opportunity to support local artists and help turn their dreams into realities. This largely self-ran intimate marketplace is home to over 60+ revolving artists and artisans. There’s something new to discover every week!

A weekly outdoor makers market, music venue, and third space that seeks to highlight the very best of our city’s creativity. Local meetups, pop-ups, and art swaps. Art classes, vintage markets, and poetry slams. The Alley is as limited as your imagination! It’s a space where dreams come to reality and where reality can come to dream.

Winston-Salem’s Arts District is a community built by and for the dreamers, the outcasts, the whimsical, the misfits, and the romantics. The Alley is a love letter to all those who make this area so unique and special.

Join us for Drunk Journaling this month! Thursday, October 16th from 6-8pm at Free Range Bar! 

What is Drunk Journaling? 
DJ is our monthly journaling meet up. We meet at Free Range the bar a couple doors down from the shop, every third Thursday of the month. You do not have to drink to attend this event! And you do not have to use a specific type of journaling system! Anything goes! You can write, plan, sketch, junk journal/collage, write letters, talk to friends about their notebooks and journals, etc. The 2 hours of Drunk Journaling is used for geeking out with our community, maybe learning something new, or just a time to dedicate two uninterrupted hours to journaling. 

Each month I have a free craft or a journaling skill to share! This serves as a jumping off point to start your journaling night. 
Bring friends or come alone but don’t forget your journal!!!

We are SO excited to welcome Quixotically back into the shop!

Lizzie will pop-up on Saturday, October 4th from 11-1. If you missed her last time, Quixotically is a local hand-made leather notebook company owned by Lizzie! She has the most gorgeous leather samples for you to flip through and create the perfect notebook!

At the pop-up she will have notebooks available for sale in all different sizes. Or you can place a custom order for a notebook of your design. She will also have her leather stamping supplies to stamp your notebooks at the pop-up!

Each journal is handcrafted with intention, love, and hope.

At the pop-up she will have journals for sale as well as forms for you to design your own custom journal and pick it up at a later date. She has tons of leather samples for you to choose from! Looking through them is our favorite thing to do! And so hard to choose…

The notebooks available the day of the pop-up will be standard notebook sizes, A6, A5, Weeks.
